Kanye Canceled 'Carpool Karaoke' Taping Right as James Corden Arrived to Pick Him Up

Despite multiple attempts, James Corden hasn't quite been able to land a Kanye West edition of 'Carpool Karaoke.' In fact, West once canceled on Corden just as he was turning the corner to his house.

We already know Kanye West is at least vaguely interested in doing that thing where you hop in a car with James Corden and karaoke out to your own classics. Way back in August 2016, Corden revealed West would eventually land on Carpool Karaoke. "Kanye has been booked to do Carpool Karaoke now twice and both times something came up," Corden toldBritish GQ at the time. Now, thanks to Kris Jenner's Late Late Show appearance Tuesday night, we know a bit more about those cancellations.

"I can answer this easily," Corden said when Jenner asked him why there's not yet been a West edition of the segment. "This is a great question for me. He's canceled twice, maybe even three times. He canceled once as I was turning the corner to his house. I was in a car and by the time the call finished I was sat outside his house and they were like, 'He's not in the zone for it right now, we'll do it another time.'"

West, as previously revealed, then gifted Corden with a cube of flowers and a pair of Yeezys. "People were like, 'Whoa, they're so expensive!' and I was like, 'Yeah, they cost my show $45,000!' but we love him," Corden said Tuesday. "He's my dream, he knows that. He's my absolute dream." During the same discussion, Jenner hinted that she and Corey Gamble might be engaged and whatnot.

Corden dropped the most recent edition of Carpool Karaoke, featuring living legend Paul McCartney, back in June. Sadly, West and Rihanna didn't pop up from the backseat to run through "FourFiveSeconds."
