If you're unfamiliar with rising rapper Skufl, that's subject to change very soon. He's been on a slow but steady mission on making advancements and inroads into the game with loosie singles dropped here and there earlier in the year. Now he's got Cardo and the combined producing triumvirate of YeX and Johnny Juliano firmly in his corner, as seen on his two new releases. The first two tackle "Saint," while Juliano lends his talents to to the energetic "Gun Powder." Skufl attacks both with a laid back Auto-Tuned expressive energy that's bound to catch attention. (Definitely keep the triplet-flow "Gun Powder" on deck if you want to play something new at your next turn-up.)

Cardo is having the best year out of arguably all of his producing peers off the success of "God's Plan" alone, but that mainstream success hasn't removed his ear from the underground. It was his idea to seek out Skufl and work with him in an official capacity, using the rapper's "Devil Off My Shoulder" track to sell his partner YeX on his capabilities. "This is one of the most special people that I've worked with in awhile. He brings mad energy and is creative in ways beyond music," Cardo told Complex.

If you like what you heard here, Cardo assures much more music is coming from his EL$G team including Skufl, Meko Supreme, Maajei Vu, Chiefer, Hey Earl, Gerald Walker, and yes, the man himself. For now, check out Skufl's latest below.
