The Sauce, Pandora's new hip-hop station, recently placed a camera in front of a tattoo-accruing Trippie Redd.
In the accompanying interview, arriving exclusively today via Complex, Redd talked ink and inspiration. "My sauce is I'm Trippie Redd," he said. "I do stuff on my own, I think for myself, and I've always looked out for others. So, I don't know, that's my sauce."
Speaking on his 2017 hit "Love Scars," Redd noted that he knocked out all the vocals in a single take during a burst of inspiration. "The tattoo . . . actually came before the song," he explained. "I didn't even write the song. I just went in the booth, went in there one time, and just did that whole thing in one take."
Pandora's Sauce station aims to provide Pandora Premium-charting hip-hop content to listeners between the ages of 18 and 24. The Pandora team is hoping to make this the "go-to destination" for those seeking the most up-to-date experience. For more info, you know what to do.
