Barbies everywhere are sad that Nicki's promise of performing new songs on 'SNL' next month seem to have changed.

Nicki Minaj has been teasing fans with a special surprise for her Saturday Night Live performance on May 19, tweeting that “SNL will be VERY worth it,” and that she’ll “perform a song you never heard b4.” Unfortunately for Barbies everywhere, this no longer seems to be the case, as the Queens rapper has suddenly changed her mind about the set-list for her live performance this summer.

It was only a few days ago that Nicki confirmed her now-canceled plans, when she replied to a fan on Twitter with a slew of exciting, mysterious tweets that even in their minimalism seemed to guarantee she’d be gifting fans with new music during SNL.

Can’t anymore, my darlings. Doing SNL the day b4. Can’t make it to LA in time to rehearse on the BBMA stage. But SNL will be VERY worth it & that’s all I’ll say about THAT. ♥️👅🙌🏽🦄 https://t.co/ezgzv2daKz

In what feels like a New York minute, Nicki has inexplicably altered these plans by tweeting that “No new songs” would be performed on SNL next month.

Changed my mind about this babe. No new songs 🤭😘🦄 https://t.co/yhz4t8gohS

After you wipe those tears off your face and gather yourself, check out some of these exchanges on Twitter after the jump. Clearly, Nicki fans everywhere feel a certain type of way about all this. This is a developing story—stay tuned.
