Juelz Santana has turned himself in after being caught with a loaded weapon in his carry-on luggage at Newark Liberty International Airport.

Santana went to Port Authority Police early Monday, NorthJersey.comreported. He is slated to make a federal court appearance Monday afternoon in Newark. A separate report from TMZ adds that the 36-year-old has been booked for unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and an "unspecified federal warrant."

Friday evening, Santana was making his way through the security screening process at Terminal C when Transportation Security Administration (TSA) uncovered a gun. As was widely reported heading into the weekend, Santana then proceeded to flee the premises, apparently via taxi. Prior to fleeing, airport authorities said, Santana "paced the area nervously and requested that several individuals screen his bag because he was going to miss his flight."

Santana has remained silent on social media in the days since the incident. The flight was headed to San Francisco, where Santana was set to perform at Grand Nightclub. That performance was canceled.

In February, Lil Wayne—11 long years after the project was first teased—asked fans via Instagram if they wanted him to drop his Juelz Santana collab tape I Can't Feel My Face. The history of unfortunate hiccups surrounding the long-delayed project are numerous, with Wayne eventually using some of the tape's intended material for his 2013 I Am Not a Human Being sequel.
