Surprisingly, it's taken us nearly six damn years to get footage of Young Thug singing the underrated Fun. cut "Some Nights." Thanks to a rip of a recent Thugger Instagram Live session, the wait is over.
The clip sees Jeffery initially lip-syncing his way through the Jeff Bhasker-produced song before eventually full-on singing.
Thugger even throws in some ad libs for good measure, then switches up his Instagram soundtrack with James Blunt's "You're Beautiful" and Dru Hill's "The Love We Had (Stays on My Mind)."
A proper Fun. x Young Thug collab, however, is currently unlikely. The Grammy-winning trio—comprised of Nate Ruess, Jack Antonoff, and Andrew Dost—has been on pause since February 2015. In a statement on their Facebook page at the time, Fun. said the group would be inactive while each member pursued other creative outlets. Antonoff, for example, is a prolific collaborator with other artists (i.e. Lorde, Taylor Swift, and St. Vincent) and just last year released a new Bleachers album titled Gone Now.
Thugger has plenty of confirmed collabs on the way. In addition to whatever he and Travis Barker were cooking up last month, he's got a project with Southside and TM88 in the pipeline.
The last full-length batch of new Young Thug music we got was his collab tape with Future, last year's Super Slimey. The project was feature-free aside from Offset's appearance halfway through the tracklist on the Southside-assisted highlight "Patek Water."
