Lil B sat down with Uproxx to talk about his latest venture: A cooking show on YouTube titled Food Makes Me Happy. The BasedGod has made a career out of the unpredictable, whether it comes to his music, beefs, or the other little things he does like college lectures. He's built such a successful brand out of being so positive and out there, so it makes a lot of sense that he'd be lending his charms to a cooking show. Plus, he did invent the cooking dance.

Explaining the genesis behind the show, he says he wasn't that interested in doing it at first. "My boy came to me with the idea of the cooking show and I was like, ‘You know, there’s enough cooking shows out there.’ I wasn’t really into it," he told Uproxx. "But working with him and also working with AwesomenessTV was kind of the thing that made the offer sound cool. It’s a dope show and people are already asking for more, you know what I’m saying?"

As for what he wanted to learn to cook the most, he explained, "Good soups. You know, really good soups. Vegetable soups." It's good to know that Lil B is a fan of soups, because they often don't get the love they deserve.

During the interview, Lil B also dropped some hints about what's coming next. He says that he's been meeting with some labels recently, which makes for a stark change for the Bay Area rapper, who has remained independent since making it. "I’m actually going to self-produce my next tape that I’m working on, Platinum Frame. This going to be my second official mixtape," he teased.

"My first official mixtape, I self-produced it last year," he explained. "Black Ken debuted number one on iTunes in hip-hop, and top five or ten top, top five on the whole iTunes, on all genres. It was really cool to be able to self-produce. I’m standing in front of my equipment right now so it’s really cool to be able to do that and then, you know, go worldwide and you know to chart. So, I’m like, ‘Man, you know what? I’m gonna do it again.’"
