For Monday night's Jimmy Kimmel-less Jimmy Kimmel Live, Shaq stepped in to guest-host the proceedings. That shit was entertaining. For the Shaq-helmed episode's musical portion, Ty Dolla Sign dropped in to perform a pair of songs from his new album Beach House 3.

YG joined Ty Dolla Sign for their Hitmaka and Bongo ByTheWay-produced Beach House 3 collab "Ex." For the album's most recent single, "So Am I," Ty rocked a solo performance. The album version features Skrillex and Damian Marley.

The 20-track Beach House 3 dropped Friday and features additional production and guest appearances by DJ Mustard, Mike Dean, Mike Will Made-It, Pharrell Williams, Southside, Lil Wayne, Tory Lanez, Jeremih, Future, MadeinTYO, and more. According to Ty, this album is better than your album.

Ty spoke with Ezra Marcus for Interview earlier this month, outlining his approach to keeping the balance of celebratory and melancholy on the new collection. The key, Ty said, is to be as prolific as possible. "You just make a whole bunch of songs," he said. "We made 'Message In a Bottle' and I thought, 'This is hot, I want to start from this point.' Then after that, me and Poo Bear got in the studio, who I've known for a long time, but I wanted to work with him and finally we were able to lock in some time last December and we did 'Famous,' 'Side Effects,' and 'So Am I' with Damian Marley. It's just, like, find great songs, and put them aside for the project."
