Premiere: Wyclef Jean Goes to Jupiter in "Borrowed Time" Video

Sounds from NASA's Juno satellite were incorporated into the tune.

Wyclef Jean has done a whole lot of collaborations in his career, working with everyone from Kenny Rogers to the Rock—and that was just on one album. But Clef has a different type of co-star in his new song and video "Borrowed Time"—NASA's Juno satellite. Complex is happy to premiere the Jose Javy Ferrer-directed visual, which you can watch above.

Working side by side with the scientists from the Juno project, Wyclef incorporated sounds from Jupiter recorded by the satellite into "Borrowed Time."

"I worked together with [Juno's Principal Investigator] Scott Bolton who developed this, so I got to geek out a bit," he explained in a statement. "The craziest part for me was that no human being had heard these particular sounds yet. I freaked out when I heard them. To me, we are all vibrations of light and sound. I've done a lot of humbling things in my career, including working closely with Michael Jackson. I wish MJ was here to see us create songs with sonics from the Universe."

"Borrowed Time" appears on Clef's new album Carnival III: The Fall and Rise of a Refugee, which you can stream below and cop here. The new record is the multi-hyphenate musician's first studio album in eight years. He is understandably excited about the project being out in the world.

"My Carnival albums have always been about celebrating music culture from all parts of the world and Carnival III is no different," he said. "It's outside the box. There’s genre-bending. There’s new talent on there. Carnival III is more than just an album. It’s a celebration of what I love about music: discovery, diversity, and artistry for art’s sake. It's about putting music together that will outlive me and live on for generations to come that is full of emotion, vibration and fun. Get ready."
