Ever since we heard Trippie Redd's "Love Scars," we knew he was going to be a star. He makes genre-defying music that sounds like nothing else out, and he's got a unique, confident charisma that makes him stand out despite the fact that he just turned 18 years old.
Through social media—and, as he describes it, just being himself—Trippie Redd has built a huge following and he's taking off quickly, but there were still a lot of unknowns. We went to Miami to meet up with the young rapper and talk to him about where he came from, what he's trying to do with his music, and what has changed for him over the past year. We also went to his show at Miami venue The Hangar to watch him perform with XXXTentacion and Tekashi69.
