As far as styles go, Makonnen and Lil Yachty are two of the most original artists doing it out of Atlanta at the moment. From the harmonizing to the catchy melodies, both Makonnen and Yacthy have carved out their own lanes in the game. Of course, with similar styles, it's only right that the two finally connect, though they're apparently coming with more than anyone anticipated. Last night, Makonnen took to this Instagram to announce that the two are actually doing a full mixtape together, though they didn't reveal when it would come out.
Back in March, Yachty told Complex that he and Makonnen had been talking about work together, but up until this point, it hadn't happened. It's unclear how much the two have recorded for the project, but according to producer Danny Wolf, 21 Savage and Offset were also around in the studio last night. This news comes right on the heels of Yachty's announcement that he's making an entire mixtape with Lil B and Soulja Boy, which is something that he also talked more in-depth about here. You can check out more footage of Yachty and Makonnen hanging out last night in Atlanta below.
