Toronto native Harvey Stripes continues to make waves on the scene, as today, he debuts his new project, In God We Trust, which includes some much-needed material from the Canadian spitter. The release of this new LP comes just a week after he dropped his surprise EP, Yours to Discover, which included six songs and features from French Montana, Max B, and Soulja Boy. On In God We Trust, Stripes balances his hunger and street mentality with dope rhymes and cadences that results in a cohesive effort throughout.
"I found myself artistically. Mama Stripes told me stand for something or you fall for anything... to her surprise, I stand for the streets," Stripes told Complex. "The growth of Harvey Stripes as an artist come from the raw reality portrayed in my music. As far as the art, musically I've found a balance of comfort and hunger, and I feel it shows in my new material." The 14-song project includes feature appearances from Yo Gotti, Blac Youngsta, Tory Lanez, Snootie Wild, and production from the likes of Murda Beatz, Pro Logic, and more. In addition to the new project, which you can stream in full below, Stripes also dropped his new video for the CMG mix of his track "On Me." You can also revisit his Yours to Discover EP right here.
