Kendrick Lamar is currently in the middle of his "Kunta Groove Sessions" tour celebrating his To Pimp a Butterfly album. The shows are meant to bring Kendrick into a more intimate setting with his fans, but he gave spectators in NYC an added treat last week when he delivered a powerful speech in between songs.

Kendrick talked to the crowd about how his life changed after good kid, m.A.A.d. city, and how he doesn't run with a big crew like he used to. He mentioned his love for his fans while talking about the success of To Pimp a Butterfly, and how the album couldn't have gone to the top without them. "Music is not something that you can market all the time, this shit belong to you, and you only," Kendrick said. Kendrick's tour wraps up this week in California, and you can check out more details about the shows here.
