There are few things on which all hip-hop fans agree, and too often the consensus arrives well after the fact (for example, it is indeed possible to revere both Biggie and Tupac in equal measure). Anointing one rapper as the best of his generation will never be an open and shut case, but when we scan the current hip-hop landscape, there is one artist who looms so large over the competition we sometimes have to crane our necks to get a proper look at him. That rapper is Aubrey Graham, the man known as Drake, whose body of work and life story are unlike anything else in rap music today. Drake was the headliner at this year's Governor's Ball festival, and writer Paul Cantor created a most fitting tribute for the occasion, which you can read right now onAll Access Chill. Head on over to refresh your memory on how it all started, and gain new insight into where Drake might be taking us next. Let's see if you don't come away feeling like Drake has more than earned the title of greatest rapper of his (slash our) generation.
