Lil Herb knows exactly what Chicago's drill fans want this holiday season: New Lil Herb, duh. Today, he surprises fans with a 10-track mixtape. Featuring production from Jace (of Two-9)Childish Major, and 808 Mafia, G. Herbo's tone is aggressive and angry on the Pistol P Project. The wide array of sounds, however, shows noticeable growth from Lil Herb. There's plenty of blitzing trap on PPP, but producers Syk Sense and Mekaniz grace the tape with more soulful sounds for Herb. The tape's eclectic tastes shine throughout.

With "Pistol P Intro" highlighting the ongoing crime and violence happening in Chicago, Lil Herb mixes periods of rough street talk with moments of vulnerability. He's got family and friends in difficult positions (or just straight-up locked up), cases to fight, and back stabbers to weed out amongst his circle. There's plenty to unpack here. Get listening.
