Bobby Shmurda and the GS9 crew were reportedly arrested last night at Quad Studios in NYC, according to Karen Civil. The cause of the arrest has yet to be confirmed, but a numerous amount of weapons were reportedly taken from the studio following the incident. Epic Records EVP of Urban A&R, Sha Money XL, who originally signed Shmurda and the crew to the label, was also reportedly arrested at the studio, though again, it hasn't been confirmed for what charge.

Back in August, reports surfaced that Shmurda had been arrested in June on a gun possession charge, though no further details from that case have emerged in the following months. A source tells Complex that bail is currently being worked out in the case, and that Sha Money XL has been released from jail. We're currently reaching out for more information and will update when details are available.

UPDATE: According to Wondering Sound, the arrest was part of a large narcotics investigation that had been underway for months. The report reveals that indictments in the case are set to be unsealed on December 18 when the arraignments are set to take place in Manhattan Supreme Court. Though the actual charges have not been disclosed, Kati Cornell, who is the director of public information for the city's special narcotics prosecutor, revealed that "The investigation did involve a number of violent incidents as well as narcotics trafficking." Video of the arrest has been added below, which shows members of the GS9 crew being escorted by police out of the studio.
