Seeing as DJ Friction is our main pipeline for what's next in the dnb scene, it makes sense that we get word on huge new material from his Radio 1 show first. This massive remix of Bad Company's "Spider" from two of the major murderers of the neuro scene today, Optiv & BTK got some play from Friction back in September. Many remember that this was taken from Bad Company's Book of the Bad series, which might've been their real peak–it contained cuts like "Planet Dust," "Ladies of Spain," "Numbers," "Dogs On The Moon," and plenty others. Optiv and BTK didn't focus on the groovier side of the bassline; they kept it closer, working a new banger out of the sly melody that's thrown in the tune.

Now, the SoundCloud only says "forthcoming 2015," but one has to wonder: forthcoming WHERE? Bad Company was a foursome at the time (even if Fresh is credited for a number of the huge tunes during that time period, including "Spider"), but they've been split for some time. There have been rumors of an Upbeats remix of "Planet Dust," a remix of "The Pulse" from The Prototypes, and even an Audio remix of "Nitrous" out there, with some talk of a Bad Company remix EP. No official word has been announced as of yet, but we'll keep our ear to the ground on this one.
