Calling a track "Murder" at a time like this can really only be construed as a statement. While aywy's track definitely brings to mind the aesthetic of being "murdered out," with screwed-out Snoop Dogg samples and allusions to the gang lifestyle, the artwork is a scene we've gotten quite the fill of lately, all over the world. The track has groove, but in the toughest way you can possibly have it, the kind of groove that gets you moving but still aggressively slaps at full strength. It's a subtly angry undercurrent to the song, the same as any undercurrent to the best aggressive DnB and dubstep tunes - the sort of energy that encourages the purging of bad emotions through losing oneself in the tune.
