Tommy Trash to Kick Off Ministry Of Sound's New Compilation Mix Series, "Inspired"

Last year, the Ministry of Sound made headlines when they famously defended their worth against Spotify. The historic brand argued that their compilation and mix albums we're their own creative projects and thusly protected by copyright and owed royalties. Now this hasn't been totally resolved but the label continues to do what they do best in these mix albums. Now to recharge they are introducing a new series with the help of Tommy Trash, entitled Inspired.

As you might have guessed the brand will feature artists that showcase a mix of new and old tracks that inspired a them to be DJs. For Tommy Trash, it took two CDs and 29 tracks. The result looks to be refreshing as Trash completely eschews the Beatport crowd for something different. Digitalism, deadmau5, Armand Van Helden, Eric Prdyz, Dave Spoon, and  Tiga. Seriously something different then what we're hearing on main stages right now and it's a breath of fresh air. Something about the old school, techy-electro vibes on the first CD get me going. The second CD looks to be a bit more mainstage ready, but it's still doing something different. Can't wait for this to drop.

If you're also trying to show what inspires you and score some new headphones check out this contest. For now, check out the full tracklists and preview mixes of both discs.
