Listen: The Postal Service "A Tattered Line of String"

From the upcoming Give Up reissue.

2013 is shaping up to be a great year for angsty millennials. First 2003’s moodiest supergroup, The Postal Service, announced their reunion, then a full-on tour and then a reissue of their sole LP, Give Up, with two new tracks. Today, ten years after that album’s initial release, we finally hear the first of those songs.

“A Tattered Line of String” is a fairly upbeat track that relies particularly heavily on Jimmy Tamborello (a.k.a. Dntel)’s electronic sensibilities. As on the other track, “Turn Around,” this song features Rilo Kiley’s Jenny Lewis providing back-up vocals for frontman Ben Gibbard. Listen to that below and pick up the Give Up reissue on April 9 (a day earlier in the UK) via Sub Pop.
