There's been a lot of controversy surrounding the release of Pusha T and The-Dream's new song "Exodus 23:1," as fans and critics alike try to decipher who, if anyone, Pusha is talking towards in his raps. In the midst of the speculation, Lil' Wayne fired a shot on Twitter in response to the record, and Kid Cudi came out in support of Pusha. But in this video from before the release of the song, Pusha T and The-Dream give no mention of any targets.
Instead, Pusha talks about how he reached out to The-Dream to get on the song and The-Dream's quick turnaround recording his part, and The-Dream follows by praising Pusha's talents. Pusha also discusses the honesty in his lyrics, from talking about his family to the real male perspective on breakups. Watch above.
