An American Airlines passenger was arrested on Wednesday afternoon after he opened the emergency exit door as a flight from Cali, Colombia had just landed at Miami International airport. He then sat on the wing of the plane.

According to CBS Local Miami, the unidentified suspect (thankfully) waited for the flight to land before pulling off this dangerous and irresponsible stunt. The Miami-Dade Police Department reported that the suspect was arrested shortly after he made his way to the wing, once the flight had reached its gate.

No passengers were harmed, and they were all able to deplane without incident as well. In a statement released by the Miami-Dade Police, they explained the incident and the swift action taken to rectify it.

“During deplaning in Miami, a customer on American Airlines flight 920 with service from Cali, Colombia (CLO) to MIA exited the aircraft via an emergency exit,” they said. “The customer was immediately detained by law enforcement. We thank our team members and law enforcement for their professionalism and quick action.”

The suspect has yet to be identified, and it is currently unclear what the repercussions will be for his actions—it wouldn’t be a surprise for him to end up on a few no-fly lists. It’s also uncertain what the suspect’s motives was for getting on the wing, or if he had a plan after making it there.
