As we near the 2020 presidential election, things are largely looking quite bleak on both sides of the aisle. Still, at least we have candidates like Bernie Sanders continuing to take aim at institutions in need of dismantling while providing a strong Not Joe Biden candidate for those on the progressive side of the issues.

Thursday, Sanders—who notably should have been the 2016 Democratic nominee—stopped by one of Jimmy Kimmel's televised couches to elaborate on many of those issues. And, after a discussion on Canadian healthcare's superiority over the American system due to our nation's addiction to greed (a greed that continues to permeate medicinal practices), Sanders was asked about the ongoing ASAP Rocky situation in Sweden.

Unlike the misleading response given by the current administration, i.e. a series of teased interventions that quite predictably fell on deaf ears overseas, Sanders kept his answer within the realm of realisticness.

Asked specifically what he's going to do "to help ASAP Rocky get out of Sweden" around eight minutes into the video up top, Sanders kept it brief.

"Not much for the moment," he said.

From there, Sanders was asked about the public support he's received from Cardi B.

"I know her," Sanders said. "We have talked on the phone on several occasions. She is really smart and she is deeply concerned about what's happening in this country. That's the truth. She comes from a humble background and she knows what it's like to live in poverty, to struggle, and she wants to make sure that we can improve life for working people in this country. I'm delighted that she is a supporter."

Earlier this month, Cardi told fans that she had been researching Sanders' history and was "really sad" that he was let down in 2016.

"This man been fighting for equal rights, HUMAN rights, for such [a long] time," Cardi said.

Friday, Cardi caught the Kimmel clip and shared additional words of enthusiasm for the Bernie Sanders campaign:
