President-elect Donald Trump is only a few weeks away from being sworn in as president, and instead of spending time attending security briefings and publicly discussing specifics of his plans for his first few months in office (ya know, normal president-elect stuff), Trump has been on Twitter bitching and moaning about president Obama, while at the same time claiming that he's "Doing his best to disregard" critical comments from the White House.
Trump tweeted Wednesday morning, "Doing my best to disregard the many inflammatory President O statements and roadblocks.Thought it was going to be a smooth transition - NOT!"
Just what a person wants from an incoming president: tweets that seem like they were written by a smartass elementary school student who just pranked his little brother. Encouraging indeed.
Trump has been doing anything but "disregarding" Obama's criticisms, though. In fact, he tweeted twice about Obama before the "NOT!" heard round the world Wednesday:
Trump's tweets are in reference to comments Obama made in an exit interview with CNN where he stated he could have rallied the masses under his previous campaign message of change. The interview was widely reported in national headlines as Obama saying he would have beat Trump in a head-to-head election. Though the president didn't explicitly state that, it's all that Trump has responded to in his non-disregarding tweets.
