Beyoncé's Super Bowl halftime show on Sunday made the BeyHive go wild, but is also drew ire from some haters.

One of those haters was an unnamed police sergeant from Detroit, who compared Beyoncé and her dancers to the Ku Klux Klan on social media, according to local television station Fox 2.

For her halftime show, Bey performed her new single "Formation," featuring backup dancers dressed in costumes to resemble members of the Black Panther Party.

In their Facebook post, the unnamed cop posted a photo of Beyoncé's dancers alongside a picture of hooded KKK members. According to Fox 2, the text read, "If the dance troupe at the top is okay for this year's half-time show, then the one at a bottom should be okay for next year, right?"

CBS Detroit reported Thursday that the sargeant's colleagues were disturbed by the Facebook post, and brought it to the attention of Detroit Police Chief James Craig.

Craig told CBS that the views depicted in the sergeant's post do not represent the police department, and added that the department is looking into the post.

The sergeant is still working, but has reportedly removed the offending post and replaced it with an apology.

The Black Panthers, a group formed to protect black people from the KKK, was dismantled by the US government but the KKK still exists today.
Saying there's no difference between the KKK and the Black Panthers is like saying there's no difference between cause and effect.
do white people know the Black Panthers Party isn't a racist terrorist political group... it's not the same as the KKK... at all
