A 17-year-old central Florida girl has been arrested and charged after allegedly paying someone to kill her own parents.

The Lake County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of Alyssa Michelle Hatcher, of Umatilla, Florida, who is now facing a pair of counts for criminal solicitation of murder.

Investigators claim that Hatcher told them she offered a friend $400 to kill her parents. When that friend failed to carry out the request (I mean, who can you really trust anymore) she paid a different person $900 to do it. That person also opted not to do it. To add insult to injury, the money paid to those people was allegedly stolen from her parents' debit card. In addition to her two attempts to hire parental hitmen, she also stole another $100 to buy cocaine.

According to a police affidavit, Hatcher's boyfriend told investigators she wanted to kill her parents while they were together at "a known drug house."

In what is probably obvious from the tone and clauses in this write-up, neither parent has been injured, and they've also confirmed that they want charges pressed against their daughter. Subsequently, she's been charged as a juvenile on two counts of criminal solicitation for murder. Currently she's being held at the Department of Juvenile Justice in Ocala, Florida.
