Of all things someone could do with mustard, turning it into an ice cream seems criminal. But for people who want to keep an open mind about it, French's has decided to celebrate National Mustard Day by introducing a mustard flavored ice cream.

The popular condiment brand announced that it will be partnering with the Los Angeles-based Coolhaus ice cream company to bring this creation to life.

"As lovers of sweet-meets-savory, pure ingredients, and unique creations, we are incredibly excited to be collaborating with French's Mustard in creating this one-of-a-kind product," Coolhaus founder and CEO Natasha Case said in a statement. "It's been so fun to explore this classic condiment in a whole new way and create an unforgettable thoughtfully-crafted ice cream flavor with an All-American taste."

The French's ice cream will only be available for a short amount of time in New York City and Los Angeles. New Yorkers interested in trying the ice cream can catch the Coolhaus Ice Cream Truck as select locations around the city. On Aug 1. the truck will be at Rockefeller Center and Hearst Tower/Columbus Circle. On Aug. 2 it will be in Brooklyn Heights and Madison Square Park. The last and final day, Aug. 3, the truck will on the beach at Main Street Hamptons and East Hampton Main Beach.

As for people in Los Angeles, the Coolhaus location in Culver City will have the ice cream available on Aug. 2 to Aug. 4 and Aug. 9 to Aug. 11. If you don't live in New York or LA and are interested in trying the ice cream, French's created an at-home recipe.
