CTV News Vancouver reports that one individual couldn't reconcile how even brand new supercars have to obey the speed limit. He got a ticket just 10 minutes after copping a 2019 McLaren 600LT.

A man from Coquitlam, Canada was so happy with his expensive purchase that he was caught traveling at 161 km/h in a 90 km/h zone. Officers almost immediately pulled over the driver, who revealed he had left the dealership at which he purchased the car just 10 minutes earlier.

"While the officer was conducting the investigation, the driver allegedly stated that they had just left the dealership after purchasing the vehicle, 10 minutes prior," West Vancouver police revealed in a statement. "While we get closer to the July long-weekend, which typically means more vehicles on the road, West Vancouver Police want to remind everyone to obey all speed limits and drive responsibly," communications officer Kevin Goodmurphy added.

The 39-year-old owner of the McLaren 600LT had it impounded for seven days and was given a $368 ticket.
