Just under two weeks ago Hackney celebrates all things fitness with the Festival of Fitness, including a 5K and half marathon runs.
The Hackney Festival of Fitness saw Nike and Virgin Sport come together to encourage people to come together in celebration of fitness and community spirit across three jam-packed days. Saturday 18th May saw the Hackney 5K come to life, welcoming 10,000 Londoners to get their legs moving around the Hackney Marshes alongside Track Mafia & carnival group Tropical Isles.
Not only did the event see people connect through fitness, but it also welcomed a plethora of partners, music, and entertainment to come together to inspire. Attendees for the 5K includes the likes of Julia Adenuga, Ella Eyre, Michael Dappaah, Ramz, Jake 100, and more. Attendees were also immersed in cutting-edge design as Concrete Objects - Samuel Ross and Jobe Burns - put together furnishing in the form of the start/finish area and seating, as well as designing the finishers medals and t-shirts in collaboration with Nike.
