Elon Musk Hits Blunt, Possibly Doesn't Inhale

The 2018 Tesla saga continues. During an interview with Joe Rogan, Elon Musk hit a blunt and possibly didn't even actually inhale. Friday, some stock-related happenings went down.

Weed may have finally lost all its remaining edge thanks to a quick podcast puff from Tesla boss Elon Musk.

Musk, appearing on the Joe Rogan Experience, which is also filmed, promptly fell into a meme hole after hitting a blunt (and maybe not even inhaling?) on the latest episode. Annoyingly, a smattering of idiots tried to characterize this halfhearted puff as a violation of company policy, something Musk has already pointed out isn't quite accurate. Also, why the fuck should it matter?

"Our policy allows trace amounts of THC [an ingredient of cannabis] during work times, provided they are below the safety limit (much like a minimum alcohol level)," Musk told the Guardian in an email. Fair enough. Musk also called the Guardian "the most insufferable newspaper on planet Earth."

However, Musk's on-air use of harmless weed—which, as you know, is fully recreationally legal in states that know what the fuck they're doing—was followed by a Tesla stock dip. I don't personally know or care to know anything about such things, but CNBCreported that Tesla shares fell "as much as 9 percent" Friday. However, it's much more likely that dip was due to other issues like the exit of chief accounting officer Dave Morton and HR boss Gaby Toledo.

All this arrives after Musk revived his attack on British diver Vernon Unsworth, calling the Thailand cave rescuer a "child rapist" without providing evidence.
