With the release of “God’s Plan,” Drake proved that he’s still the most popular rapper in the game and that Drizzy season is no small affair.

With that single alone he broke several streaming records, surpassed Jay Z’s number of top 10 hits, and put one Miami high school in a tizzy. Shortly after his Scary Hours EP dropped, another Drake verse appeared on Migos’ “Walk It Talk It” from their new album Culture II. The stand-out track helped Drake pass another career milestone, as the Toronto rapper earned his 70th top 40 single on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Culture II debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. As of this post, “Walk It Talk It” sits at No. 19. It’s not only Drake’s 70th top 40 song, but his 160th entry on the Hot 100 overall. Drake has the most Hot 100 chart entries of any solo artist, but still falls behind Lil Wayne and Elvis Presley when it comes to top 40 singles. Weezy holds 71 and Elvis leads with 80. With a new album apparently on the way, Aubrey could surpass Lil Wayne’s top 40 record soon.

The amount of success that Drizzy has accumulated at the beginning of this year could indicate that we’re in for a long, Drake-filled 2018. The rapper is back in the studio, teasing collabs with artists like Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny and rising rapper Trippie Redd. It’s unclear when we can expect the new album to drop, but it already sounds like the project could be bigger than the 6 God’s “playlist” More Life from last Spring. We’ll just have to wait and see.
