Toronto-based, Nova Scotian R&B singer, Just Chase, is poised for big things. The SOS-affiliated artist may only have one track under his belt, but his debut single came equipped with a dope vocal performance and equally impressive production credits.
Entitled “EGO”, the WondaGurl, Yonatan Watts, and SLMN-crafted joint showcased Chase’s range and effortless ability to flow over emphatic rolling basslines. As of writing, the song has racked up close to a million streams on SoundCloud and made subsequent waves on social media this past summer. The incredibly soulful cut came out of nowhere when it dropped back in February, and it quickly left newfound fans wanting more.
Now, the mysterious Canadian crooner is feeding the hype with fresh new visuals. The short film, which dropped today, gives us our first real look at Chase as he traverses through dimly lit halls in an eerie urban dreamscape. You can watch the video for “EGO” above via YouTube.
