Classical Trax have launched their Gardenia series (via a stand-out session on LVLZ Radio at the weekend) and the first release on the schedule is the Maybe EP from Milan-based producer Worli. Having produced mainly trap in the past as BDW, Worli's sound has switched up somewhat since then, taking on a much more relaxed and organic tone. The three original tracks on Maybe, "Never", "Wish" and "Lived" are rich with deep synth washes and warm low end, taking its influences from tropical grime, tresillo and gqom. Backed up with remixes from the unpronounceable Etevleh, Grovekingsley and Mstk (offering experimental, weightless reinterpretations), the Maybe EP is a fine example of club music stepping out of its rigid confines and becoming more and more inclusive and wild.
