The M Machine are in the middle of making some incredibly diverse electronic music, and are truly pushing the musical envelope with their production.

The real genius in EDM lies in those artists that can take each sound in each song, distort it until it is barely recognizable, creating new sounds from the original, and also layering the track with some things that have never even been heard before. One artist who does this meticulously, almost to perfection, is a guy who in my eyes is underrated, Mat Zo. I guess you could say he is something of an anonymous superhero himself.

Everything from this Metropolis Remixed release that OWSLA is putting out on August 27 has been mint, but the low-end chiptune flex that Proxy put on The M Machine's "Faces" might be the winner. Stoney Roads premiered this one, and considered it to be abstract, but this might be one of the more inviting numbers we've heard all year. Everything fits perfect on this one. August 27 can't come soon enough.
