Comedians and celebrities have taken to social media to share tributes to Norm MacDonald, who passed away after a nine-year battle with cancer.

The comedian and 'SNL' alum died Tuesday morning after a private battle with cancer, a rep said. "Norm will be missed terribly," the rep added.

Macdonald later apologized for comments he made during the interview, writing: "If my words sounded like I was minimizing the pain that their victims feel to this day, I am deeply sorry.”
