Ranking The Largest U.S. Fashion Companies

None

We're using the term "fashion" here a little bit loosely, but if we didn't the headline on this story would be, like, 40 words and the SEO monkeys that help boost our traffic would throw their shit everywhere in protest. So, yeah, WWD ranked the most profitable and successful U.S. "fashion" companies and the list has some brands you might expect and a few that will make you look down on the commoners like you most likely have been all along.

The 1 spot is—drum roll please—motherfucking Walmart. Yep, business as usual. Walmart's sales are bigger than the other 24 companies on the list combined, to put things into perspective. You just can't stop those Faded Glory jeans from moving mad units. I actually had a ton of Faded Glory in middle school because I was a swagless pre-teen engaging in skateboarding and other various XTREME activities. Nike comes in not too far down the list at 4th, Macy clocks in at 6th, Gap and Nordstrom are 12th and 13th, while Ralph Lauren, Coach and Michael Kors—the only true fashion with a capital F companies on the list—rank 16th, 23rd and 24th respectively. Bummed? Just remember what some guy said a long time ago: "Never underestimate the stupidity of the American public."
