I understand that "deck jacket" is essentially a shorthand term for "dudes used to wear this on a boat." Like, I imagine that all the dudes on Deadliest Catch have some variation of a deck jacket in their closets. But can you also wear deck jackets on, like, a regular deck? Basically, I'm asking if I can make an amazing dad joke when a bunch of people are over for a party. I want to pop on this Spiewak deck jacket and when someone asks me, "Hey what's that? I've never seen a jacket like that," I can go, "Oh, it's a deck jacket..." as I try and fail to hide a smile about the corniness of the joke I just dropped. Granted, I would have had to pay someone $5 ahead of time to alley-oop the joke, but that's beside the point. I'm really fun at parties, guys. I swear.
