If you have been on Twitter in the past 48 hours, I hope to God that you have come across "Damn Daniel." If you know, you know. The video clip posted by Joshua Holz has been retweeted more than 54,000 times and liked nearly 70,000 times—those numbers are sure to be inaccurate in about an hour since it will be shared until the end of time. Hand to God, it's the funniest and greatest thing I've seen in 2016 so far. I've only watched the clip about 100 times, but it has yet to get old.

As Josh films his friend Daniel, sometimes surprising him, sometimes with what feels like a more staged situation, he says "Damn Daniel" and pans the camera down to Daniel's sneakers, which are typically Vans. Daniel, looking sort of embarrassed at times, rolls with it and walks on with a swag that can only be felt by people who are, in fact, wearing Vans. It feels like a simple inside joke amongst friends that was posted to Twitter and took off like a goddamn meme rocket ship. I can't count how many times I'm going to say, "Back at it again with the white Vans" this year. But, it will be a ton.

Considering that thousands of people relate to the clip, it only makes sense that it would be turned into a song, right? Well, rappers Little, Teej and LeBlanc took up that cross and turned the now iconic clip into a pretty solid song. For as hokey as it is to make a track based off a rapidly rising meme, it's actually solid. The beat bangs and it's all about being in high school, going to parties and wearing Vans. You can listen to the track below. And you can bet your ass that we've reached out to Josh and Daniel about their instant shot to internet stardom.
