After showcasing its finest offerings from Carhartt WIP just last week, Cumbrian retailer Working Class Heroes returns to take its latest selection from Universal Works for a spin.

Headquartered in Nottingham, the menswear label launched its first collection in 2009, with David Keyte—UW co-founder, director, designer—working from his kitchen table with an aim to make real, honest clothing based on fit and good design, though never over-designed.

Inspired by his formative years growing up in a provincial Midlands’ town in the seventies, the label has garnered a substantial and loyal fanbase since its inception and has collaborated with the likes of Bundobust and Tenue de Nîmes along the way.

Notable pieces include the Bakers Jacket, modelled on an iconic Chore Coat, in a range of classic colourways, an “Olive Green” Dockside overshirt made from a super comfortable and lightweight fine twill, and a navy-coloured Organic Flower Road shirt.

Take a look at the full Universal Works pieces in the lookbook below and shop them via the Working Class Heroes webstore.
