Japanese label Edwin is back for the Spring/Summer 2022 season with a collection that mimics the polarity of confinement and freedom in an everyday setting.

Revealing the range through a fish-eye lensed lookbook, the seasonal offering includes a wide variety of fabrics, patterns, styles and themes, mixing everything from military and workwear referenced styles to experimental head-to-toe prints. In usual Edwin form, references come far and wide, as garments arrive inspired by Japan’s Love Hotels, traditional rituals and even an infrared visualisation of the Orion Nebula.

Standouts from the collection include collaborations from guest artists such as Apollo ThomasToshifumi KiuchiSpace Bat Killer  and the forefather of Japanese erotica, Toshio Saeki. Here, each creative utilises EDWIN’s products as a blank canvas, as they apply a blend of erotic themes, humour and ghoulish horror across the label’s key pieces.

Finally, alongside the collaborative projects and mainline collection, Spring/Summer 2022 sees Edwin unveil a newly developed denim line that has been produced in Japan using premium denim from iconic fabric mills.
