If you've been following Wood Wood's steady rise to the top-tier table of Scandanavian labels, you'll be familiar with their early collaboration with Italian heritage sportswear brand ellesse. Following an almost ten year silence, their rekindling for Autumn/Winter 2019 feels as natural as their first pairing, this time around providing a seamless mesh of sportswear and streetwear sensibilities inspired by the Italian Alps.
This point of inspiration puts ellesse's early ski-focused product lines back into the spotlight, with Wood Wood's street-savvy styling offering clean-edged takes on apparel lines suited to the slopes and apres-ski. The resulting collection takes no unnecessary risks, centring each product on a super-wearable palette that is almost entirely monochrome, save for some welcome pops of purple throughout. Typography graphics are a mainstay of the collection and are featured on nearly every product, offering a modern approach to branding that elevates the simplistic approach for an undeniably clean Wood Wood finish.
