Sometimes, the opposite sex's opinion shouldn't matter.

Women are the reason us men are alive. They are the most beautiful creatures to have ever roamed the earth. Some men go to the ends of the earth to find the right woman to share their love and make life meaningful. We go through a lot of bullshit to impress a woman. We take them out on nice dates. We talk about politics. We straight up beg for the nookie. Why? Because they know we are simple-minded beasts that, if prompted, will sit, roll over and literally beg for it.

But there are some things that shouldn't be compromised when it comes to trying to court a woman. Your personal style should be at the top of that list. A garment suggestion here or there? Okay, sure. We can also handle an occassional "I don't really like that on you." But a complete style overhaul? Fuck that. You've worked too hard to establish what feels right on you to let a woman dictate whether it's right or wrong. You've been thinking it, we're just willing to say it. This is Why Men Shouldn't Care What Women Think About Their Style.

Some women think their opinion should be held in higher regard because they're attractive, get hit on a lot, or think you can't do better.

Like anyone who gets their ego stoked, some women feel that, since they are often hit on or showered with compliments on their hotness, their opinion is of a higher standard and truth than the next person's, including you. But when it comes to your style choices, even if they are considered "stylish" in their own accord, no one's opinion, whether man or woman, should be held higher than your own.

Your clothing should be an extension of you. Trying to change your clothes = trying to change you.

Whether it's because you think it looks good on you or fits your personal aesthetic, your clothing choices are an extension of you. Allowing others to dictate what you wear and how you express yourself would mean your clothing is an extension of, well, someone else.

If they had the chance, some women would dress you like their celebrity crush/former flame.

If a woman is suggesting you wear something out of the blue, it's because she saw it on another man. That other man could very well be someone like Ryan Gosling or Drake, unfortunately. Or, even worse; an ex-boyfriend she can't quite get over not being with. Don't be the mannequin for her old feelings.

Menswear. Streetwear. It's all clothing that's "too expensive."

Sometimes, we men don't understand why a woman would set up a bank account labeled "Bag Money." At the same time, some women don't understand why a man would pay $600 on a cableknit sweater when we an easily get one from the janky mall for a fraction of the cost.

What's the difference, right? Wrong. Let us spend our money on the things we perceive as cool and quality-made (or because the brand name will buy me some #influencer points) and you do the same with yours. No questions asked.

The shop saleswoman is not hitting on you; She's only trying to make the sale. Don't get duped.

"Oh my god, those cobalt blue chinos look so hot on you!" Coming from a shop saleswoman, this is the equivalent of a stripper acting like she thinks you're hot shit because you're about to drop an extra $250. When an assistant at a men's store is trying to make the sale, she, like any good salesperson, will likely tell you that she'll take you home to meet the parents if you buy that $700 suede bomber jacket, son. Wake up.

Would she let you dress her?

Think about it—you may know what your woman likes or dislikes, but if you had a vision of what you would want her to wear, what is the likelihood of her being like "oh yeah, sure! I would love to wear those leather shorts and Timberland boots you saw Rihanna wear once!"? Fuck outta here. Unless you're Oscar de la Renta or Karl Lagerfeld, you ain't getting near her wardrobe choices, breh.

Be a man, be comfortable in your own skin, and make your own damn decisions.

You've made it this far making your own decisions (for the most part). By now, your own base instincts have led you to a point in your style where you're comfortable. Your style has been tested, failed, re-tested, and mastered all on your own (most likely with the help of magazines or the Internet.) You want to wear a noragi? Wear a noragi. Want to throw on some Birkenstocks? Nobody can tell you to do otherwise.

The only opinion that matters is that of the Internet.

Let's be honest, the real reason you wake up and take Instagram photos of yourself isn't for the chick you're trying to impress at office you intern at. You're out here trying to get e-props on the Internet. You're doing the damn thing for anyone who will retweet/like/comment/reblog. Those are the only opinions that matter, really.

Your clothes and your hands love you for who you are.

You will never be negatively judged by your Supreme "Roses" bomber jacket, and your hands get the job done and never shit on your steez. Just sayin'.
