Style Tip: Summer dressing is all about how little you can wear and still look pulled together-- so keep your eye on the ball and think about the 4 'S's-- shirt, shorts, shoes, sunglasses. I really love pulling a freshly washed dress shirt out of the dryer and wearing it with a pair of chopped-off shorts, and a dress shoe (loafer, Stubbs & Wootton slipper, moccasin) and a great pair of sunglasses (Randolph Engineering makes the best). You don't even really need a belt, and you definitely don't need an iron. Oh and a great watch always helps-- but that doesn't begin with "S."

Style Tip: Summer style is really tough in the city because of the heat. There are a few legends that can pull off a linen suit, espadrilles, and straw Borsalino, but for the rest of us we need to keep it simple and casual. The summer suit for my crew has been a super baggy vintage black T-shirt, slim washed "dad jeans," and a pair of Vans a la Z-Boys. Sometimes you have to let the attitude speak more than the clothes.

Style Tip: In my opinion, if there's any time to really hold back and pare it down, it's summer. Summer dressing is really about stripping down to just the basics. I really just like a plain white tee or grey marled one and a nice tapered pant, but of course it's all about fit. This is the smartest look that anybody can pull off. There's no greater item to show off your summer physique than a semi-fitted tee. And a great pair of sunglasses gives you all the attitude you need. Smart guys hold the shorts for weekends out of the city, but I don't mind a short as long as it's nicely cut and just slightly above the knee. Avoid any type of sandal or flip-flop.

Style Tip: My style tip for this summer is if you have to wait in line for Jordans — don't. And if you're running Jordans, wear them like Jerry Seinfeld. Simply said, Jerry is the man and he would not wait on line for Jordans — and he has more Porsches than me and you do. That syndication money!

Style Tip: Velvet Slippers are perfect for a summer evening date with a hottie. Wear your perfect blue fitted denim or black denim with white or black blazer and t-shirt.. i would go with Giuseppe Zanotti, Stubbs and Wootton, or — shameless promo — my new Del Toro collab with roses. You can steal any royal princess in those! Next: Ksubi denim. There's nothing like the perfect jean. One that stretches and rips, and after 50 wears you'll capture a dope vintage feel to your jeans. And you def want to get a Versace ring from the flagship store and listen to G-Unit's "Stunt 101" while walking down 5th avenue in NYC.

Style Tip: Summer, for me is about keeping it simple. Marled grey American Apparel 50/25/25 track tees (I'm on my bike a lot and these dry super quick) or my old favorite striped tees from Apolis, Engineered Garments fatigue shorts or cut-off Dickies, Nike runners or canvas Vans. Throw on a Fairends cap so your dome doesn't burn and you're pretty set. And have a bag stuffed with some Birdwells and a beach towel for when the city gets too soupy.

Style Tip: Buy a bathing suit that's trim and tailored. I may be a little biased given that I did a collaboration with Orlebar Brown, but any trimmer, shorter, slimmer bathing suit makes every body type look better on the beach. It has to have a clean waist with a slim leg opening. An elasticated waistband only creates a muffin top. Not a good look.

Style Tip: Summer style to me means more about what you're wearing on your feet than anything else because I feel like in the summer you wear a lot less. You have to keep it simple. Shoes in any other season can be dirty or vintage looking, but summer has to clean. You need a fresh tan — the SoHo House tan! The fresh tan is so important as it shows you're enjoying the summer and not hiding at home. You also need a tank top from your favorite boutique, whether it's A.P.C., Bodega, or Saturdays, and a pair of shorts that hit right above the knee with a drawstring waist to keep it loose for these 110+ degree days, and a different pair of shoes for each day of the entire summer.

Style Tip: I think men should be flirting with colour this summer. Don't be afraid to add colour to your summer looks. I'm really feeling prints and floral shirts. Those are some of my favorite summer pieces. Every guy should own a really nice floral shirt. All over print might make a small comeback this season. And if you're a confident man, don't be afraid to wear shorter shorts. I think shorts get a bad wrap especially if they fall before the knees. I think guys should feel a bit more comfortable wearing those.

Style Tip: If a fella buys a hat for the warmer months, and I mean a proper hat, not a ballcap — but a hat with a crown and a brim — the brim should be functional and shield you from the harmful rays of the sun. Meaning, don't waste money on a disposable stingy brimmed number, save that for your girlfriend. Let them show off their face. And if you wear a muscle tee or tank top, I hope it's tough like the name suggests. Seen too many looking soft with droopy pockets. Lastly — never let them see you sweat! I see you — and you look mad uncomfortable!

Style Tip: Own a quality pair of board shorts that are comfortable, lightweight, and durable. They're [erfect for the summer because you have the versatility to wear them out and stay cool in the heat, skate in them, and then jump in the ocean or pool knowing you won't be walking around with heavily drenched shorts later.
