A duo is much, much better than a single. Think about it. What's a good, say, TV series without a hilarious couple? Or a dramatic couple? Or, better yet, a stylish couple? There are plenty of shows on television, but only a few have well-dressed fictional characters—not everyone can be the Kanye West and Kim Kardashianof TV land. These lovebirds do come close though. Cameron's always in a crisp button down, albeit sometimes in wild prints (but give credit to those who take risks). Mitchell is loyal to his suits, cardigans, plaid ties, and cashmere sweaters. The best part? They always look put-together, whether they're visiting Gloria and Jay, or hanging out with their daughter, Lily.

Dating your high school English teacher is usually taboo, but not in TV land. Teenage girls and 20-somethings love Mr. Fitz (on and off the show). He dresses appropriately without looking boring, or like a high school teacher who hasn't seen the light of day—you know the ones we're talking about. As for Aria, she's (probably) responsible for the high school girls in all these edgy, bohemian clothing.

Flapper style dresses and pin-striped suits wouldn't cut it today, but the costumes in HBO's Boardwalk Empire still encapsulate the 1920s to a T. Nucky and Margaret's clothing are accurate and specific to the period without being boring. Nucky is usually dressed in three-piece suits, a white detachable stiff collar, a Homburg or Derby hat, and always has a red carnation boutonniere pinned to his left lapel. Margaret's look is best described by one word: opulent.

Carrie Bradshaw and Sebastian Kydd fly under the radar most times, and understandably so. Chances are, most of you haven't seen a single episode of The Carrie Diaries. But guaranteed, there are teenage girls somewhere in the world emulating young Carrie's style. And Sebastian? Well, the guy rocks leather motorcycle jackets just as well as anyone. These two are the youngest out of the bunch, but they hold up pretty well.

Who says best friends can't date each other? Jess and Nick started off as friends and roommates, but eventually professed their love for one another, albeit with plenty of awkward scenarios. They balance one another, in all sorts of ways, especially with their styles. Jess is quirky and dresses a bit retro, while Nick is more basic (he loves henley shirts and his red hoodie). As they say, "Opposites attract."

April Ludgate is the master of witty one-liners. She's also the poster face for bitchface. She has the ability to fire beams of tacos out of her hands and turn her legs into tigers. She's also a pretty well-dressed lady. In fact, one superfan has dedicated her time to help other women track down Ludgate's clothing on the show so they too can dress like the fictional character.
Ludgate's husband, Andy Dwyer, wears whatever he feels the day calls for. Sometimes it's a plaid shirt, other times it's a button down with a striped tie. His wedding day called for a football jersey and cargo pants.
Emily Thorne and Daniel Grayson
TV Series: Revenge

Emily and Daniel dress exactly the way you would think a couple from the Hamptons would—sophisticated, clean, and preppy. The two broke up last season, but we'll make exceptions because cable TV could use more stylish people like them. Besides, rumor has it, Daniel will propose to Emily.
Olivia Pope and President Fitzgerald Grant
TV Series: Scandal

If we're being technical, President Fitzgerald Grant is married to Millicent (or Melody) on ABC's political soap opera, Scandal. But while we don't condone infidelity, we do like the pairing of Grant and Olivia Pope much, much better. Pope is a tenacious woman, who happens to dress very, very well. She's got women all over the world thinking I need to do better. She's classy, sophisticated, and modern without being overly trendy. The President, and her love interest, is almost always in a suit—the finest of all suits.
Leslie Knope and Ben Wyatt

Leslie Knope and Ben Wyatt are what you would call unlikely style inspirations. There's nothing over the top about their looks. But with that said, all politicians and state auditors of the boring committee could and should learn a thing or two from them. Knope doesn't take herself too seriously and it carries through to her outfits. The gray suits are alive and well, but she's not scared of prints or color. She's also not afraid of terrible perms and a wedding dress covered in newspaper articles and memos.
Wyatt has a uniform—plaid shirts and skinny ties. He doesn't stray too much from what he likes, but there's valuing in knowing what works. Plaid shirts and skinny ties are it for him. There is even a blog dedicated to his style.
Megan Draper and Don Draper
TV Series: Mad Men

This one's a no brainer. Since making her debut in the show in 2007, Megan's been considered a style icon. In fact, creator and executive producer Matt Weiner told The Hollywood Reporter that the black dress Megan wore during her "Zou Zou Bisou" performance at Don's birthday was "knocked off" and sold in stores within three weeks after the episode aired.
Don, the ad exec, is a master of the suit and tie look (pre-Justin Timberlake) and, as we found out, just as stylish outside of the office. He and Megan are definite throwbacks to the 1960s and together, they keep things interesting on cable TV.
