The Complex Societal Mores Of Baracuta Spring/Summer 2014

None

Baracuta was mad popular amongst a bunch of #menswear bloggers circa 2009. It was way back when everyone was trying to dress like their grandpas if their grandpas had shrunk the shit out of their clothes and aspired to jobs like social media account managing and spending four years at a private university studying things like cultural studies and economics in order to intern for free at an ad agency. DO YOU GUYS EVEN REMEMBER WHEN IT WAS GRAIL STATUS FOR A BLOGGER TO GET A SOCIAL MEDIA POSITION AT, LIKE, A FUCKING PR FIRM? Everyone was like, "Damn, that dude is killing it." And then everyone moved to New York and now everyone wants to be a designer or creative director. It’s like how it was a big deal if our grandparents finished high school and now our kids will have to finish grad school to impress us. Like complex societal mores, Baracuta stays putting new twists on old designs. Shouts to the trench, the hooded G9 and the color blocked joints in the S/S 14 collection. I’m also feeling the removable liners and the sleeveless G5, which is basically a vest, but sounds way classier.
