Oscars season is filled with more than just the year's best films, it's a time for everyone in every nook and cranny of Hollywood to emerge from the woodwork and walk the red carpet. As usual, there's those who prove they've got award-winning style to go with their on-screen achievements, while others prove why they were snubbed at the nomination ceremony.
We've trolled the red carpet to tick off the best outfits—and take shots at those who clearly didn't bring their A-game. These are The Biggest Style Fails and Wins at the 2015 Academy Awards.

Fail: Will.I.Am
Somewhere between train conductor and Grand Budapest Hotel lobby boy, it seems like Will.I.Am took an invitation to the Oscars to mean that he had to dress up like one of the characters from the nominated films.
Win: Common
The expected, all the way to the bowtie. You hear us knock bowties all the time, but when you're coming to a “black tie” event like the Oscars, you can rock a bowtie—even if it's not literally black tie.
Fail: Kevin Hart
Kevin Hart looks like a Jordan 11 Concord come to life. Well, at least his lady looks good.
Win: Ethan Hawke
Shouts to Ethan Hawke. Just because you played a dad on screen, doesn't mean you need to dress like one.
Fail: Bruce Dern
Bruce Dern proves that there are a few things that even Ralph “The Gawd” Lauren can't save.
Win: David Oyelowo
His burgundy tux is a risk that's paying off, plain and simple. Let's hope this red carpet look makes the Academy reconsider snubbing Selma at this year's nominations.
Fail: J.K. Simmons
J.K., your post-Whiplash star is rising so fast that you may not have to do those Farmers Insurance commercials any more. Are you sure you want to screw up your chances with a hat that says “class is for men, swag is for boys”?
Win: Steve Carrell
“RYAN, I'M WEARING BRUNELLO CUCINELLI.”
Fail: Jimmy Kimmel
I'm sure you think this is hilaaaarious Kimmel, but we're laughing at you Jimmy, not with you.
Win: Eddie Redmayne
Redmayne in the custom McQueen suit. The Brits never looked so good in blue.
Fail: Ansel Elgort
It may be the lights, and we know it's Prada, but it looks like Ansel Elgort got a preview of what Eddie Redmayne was going to wear, and then ran to Topshop to hack the look.
Win: Miles Teller
Looks like Miles Teller listened to this before preparing for the Oscars.
Fail: Jared Leto
We're all responsible for this. We let Jared Leto slide when he made questionable style choices. We forgave and forgot his most flagrant manbun-moments. But this shrunken suit in Easter Bunny pastel purple? This is where we draw the line.
Win: Chiwetel Ejiofor
Even if you're not nominated for anything this year, doesn't mean you can't flex on the red carpet.
Fail: Liam Neeson
This isn't from the red carpet, but Liam Neeson's oil spill-inspired outfit is just poor way to kick off the awards. If his reluctant onstage rambling wasn't indication enough, this lazily thrown together outfit let's everyone know how badly Liam didn't want to be at the Oscars.
