(Possibly) Survive a Shipwreck With Christopher Raeburn's Latest REMADE Pieces

Christopher Raeburn is all about turning practical items—like parachutes, and life rafts—into completely wearable pieces of clothing. It's the latter that Raeburn has most recently reworked, turning what was once a fully functional life raft into the latest installment of his REMADE series.

A part of the designer's Autumn/Winter 2015 "RAFT/IMMERSE" collection, the pieces—two coats, and two bags—are (like any survival raft worth its metaphorical sea legs) eye-catching and bright. The parka and bomber, use the most visually stimulating, upper section of the life raft as main material in their designs. Naturally, with something this unique, both pieces of outerwear are handmade in England, and limited to 50 pieces each. 

The bags vary wildly in design, with one silhouette taking the a more conventional rucksack design, and the other taking on the shape of a shark. While this is certainly a unique concept, it's also the latest chapter in Raeburn's seasonal "animal bag" concept.
