You Can't Mesh This Up

If you consider yourself a timepiece connoisseur, you definitely know the value and aesthetic of a titanium band watch. The understated look of a stainless steel mesh strap shows that you're still commited to the look of a classic watch but with an ultra-modern take. Watchmakers like Braun and Uniform Wares do a great job at delivering solid style without any extra bells and whistles.

The S500 For Your Wrist

Mr Porter is known to stock some of the best menswear threads anyone can find on the internet, so when it announced it's partnership with watchmaker Bremont, you already knew this was the birth of somehing great. This Mr Porter exclusive is the perfect mix of performance and style. And with it's quality water resistence feature that will work up to 1,660 feet underwater, your Bremont will be the least of your worries if you find yourself in the deep end.

His and Hers

If you're looking to have your girl buy you something dope this year, it may help if she can get in on it as well. Chicks love to play "twinsies" with their BF so make sure she knows the limited edition G-Shock x New Era watch and has a color-coordinating Baby G that she can get as well. You may have to take a corny Instagram photo with her, but the trade-off is totally worth it.

Black Is The New Black

We all can agree that the color black goes with basically any outfit, so why not have a timepiece that leaves out the "does this look good together?" question every morning. With details like pebbled, perforation, and alligator texture, courtesy of Thom Browne's Black Fleece collection, CT Scuderia, and Tissot, respectively, you won't have to worry about your wrist fading to black. Not literally, at least.

Switch Up

Nylon straps, also known as Nato, are usually inexpensive and can be switched out on most timepieces. This versatility gives the impression that you're rocking a new watch with every new strap. But don't think that just because you're being cheap with the strap, that you can't splurge on a watch case. The TUDOR Heritage Chrono and Hamilton Quartz Chrono are perfect examples of why you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover. But if you are looking to save on this style and splurge on another style, Daniel Wellington makes a great style for under $200.

A New Take On "Rubberband Man"

If you can't deal with the metal links on your timpiece constantly pinching your skin and arm hair, a sporty rubber strap may be the best bet for you. Coming in all sizes, the common denominator will always be durability and comfort. Pick from a simple face like this Swatch option or something with more detail like Nixon and JeanRichard—just be prepared to pay for it.

Keeping It Classic

While there's nothing wrong with keeping up with trends, investing in timeless pieces and incorporating them into your wardrobe is always important. Classic brands like Timex and IWC are known all over the world and newcomer Shinola has had nothing but a great response since it's launch. These are the types of watches you might just hand down to the next generation.

A Real Investment

This one is for the timepiece elites. Omega is a staple in the luxury timepiece market and with a history that includes being the official timekeeping device of the Olympics since 1932, you shouldn't expect anything less than impeccable craftsmanship. The Speedmaster is one of the brand's most iconic timepieces and with features that include a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal protecting the dial, a brushed bezel mounted on a 41.50 mm 18K yellow gold case, and matching bracelet you're sure to catch the attention of the room with this timepiece on your wrist.
