The Twitter account @WtfRenaissance exposes humanity’s deepest, darkest #FIRSTWORLDPROBLEMS in a series of captioned photos that blur the line between hilarious and too-close-to-home. The Twitter account uses Renaissance paintings to take on everything from disappointing outerwear without button-detailing to the recent ice bucket challenge.

@WtfRenaissance, despite using centuries-old works of art, depicts the daily struggle of a modern style-obsesser. @WtfRenaissance is there when you and your whole crew cop the exact same hat, or when you need to jump up and down to fit into a new pair of tight raw denim jeans. @WtfRenaissance even gets that bae needs help with her special project sometimes. Luckily, @WtfRenaissance understands the good times, too, like unleashing that perfect 'gram photo at just the right time.

It just goes to show that humans will always be suffering through the same emotions no matter what era.
