Carhartt WIP digs deeper into their workwear heritage to launch their widest-ranging collection yet with Fall/Winter 2019.

Few brands on the market can boast a depth of workwear knowledge and heritage as extensive as that of Carhartt WIP, with a design catalogue that has been nurtured from basic to premium with each seasonal offering. Recent seasons have demonstrated a clear commitment to showcasing not only an eye for detail but an expansion on functional design, palette, and fabrication to bring each apparel component to the next level. To achieve this, the design team at Carhartt WIP used their workwear foundations as a base, referencing sportswear and military apparel to create reworked classics, resulting in a very clear impact across the brand's outerwear.

Expansions on the fabrication choices are apparent within some of WIP's core designs such as the  Michigan Chore Coat and Detroit Jacket which now featured an aged Dearborn canvas for a vintage effect. There is a large scale focus on pattern across, with further core outerwear, pants, and fleeces updated with bold tree camouflage, while classic checked and houndstooth allowing for pieces to be dressed up or down. The addition of new prints and fabrics is perfectly suited to the diverse selection of shapes available for WIP pants, allowing for statements, wardrobe essentials, and full matching looks. As is standard with each seasonal arsenal, a range of graphic tees for everyday wear feature heavily, with utilitarian accessories styled to suit the streets rounding things off.
